The SMS Verification number can be used with or without a SIM card. Thus, it can have its own balance, which follows these rules:
- If the SMS Verification number is used without a SIM card, the PEN's balance will be valid for 12 months. To maintain it the minimum recharge amount of only $10 USD per year is required.
- If the number has a SIM card assigned to it, the SIM card balance rules will apply. To maintain the balance both for the SIM and all numbers assigned to it $25 USD min recharge will be required every 10 months.
If the two-step verification SMS from your financial institution will require a reply, you will need a 1SIM VOIP account (free). The 1SIM VOIP account will be obtained by purchasing a OneSimCard SIM number.
This SIM number will be posted to your account and enable you to set up the 1SIM VOIP app and use it on your smartphone to respond to SMS sent from your bank or other institutions.
Any OneSimCard SIM card types will work for this purpose.
